2010 World Ringside Tournament Recap
At 141 lbs, Jessica Hochhalter-Bernier won in the Womens Novice Division at this years Ringside Tournament. With only 7 matches under her belt the undefeated Uppercut boxer ended 2 of 3 matches at the tournament by RSC. Her husband, Mike Bernier is her coach and trainer. She’s been boxing for 2 years. Bernier says, ” Winning Ringside just motivated me, and now I’m ready for my next challenge!”
Uppercut Boxer/Coach, Alfonso Vasquez (left) made his debut in the Men’s Master’s Divison at Ringside. He won in the 155 lb weight class. MinnesotaBoxing.com did a story on Vasquez before he left for the tournament: Vasquez Set for Ringside. Other Uppercut Boxers that brought home belts include Lorenzo Gonzalez. He won in the 15-16 year old, 176 lbs weight class. Todd Hulse won in the 46-50 year old, 168 lb weight class. Ryan Sheahan won at 195 lbs in the 37-44 year old division. Steve McComas brought home a belt in the 48-56 years old, 178 lb weight division.

The Circle of Discipline brought home 3 belts in the 13-14 year old division. In the 176 lbs weight class, Michael Barreto (left) stopped his opponent in the second round of the finals. Richard Quiterio (right) defeated his Iowan opponent in the finals of the 114 lb weight class. Alexis Gomez (not pictured) won a decision in the 132 lb weight class.

Twin Ports boxer and National Junior Champion Ryan Watson(left) brought home another belt this summer. He is now the 2010 World Ringside Champion in the 15-16 year old novice 201+ division.
