Results from Oakfest in Oakdale, MN June 27th 2010
Summer is here and amid the hotdogs, mini-doughnuts and cheese curd stands at the Oakfest Festival on Sunday in Oakdale Minnesota Mike Evgen set up a large tent where they were serving up the sweet science. Ah yes, in the old days at the county fairs and carnivals around the United States there often was a boxer or a wrestler who would take on all comers for a price and if you could pin him or knock him down you would win either cash or a prize, on this day you did not have to pay to enter the ring and the prize you were boxing for was the thrill of victory.
