Robert Brant. A naturally talented light heavy weight boxer who took Minnesota’s amateur scene by storm.
Usually a man of many words, had only this to say about his return to Colorado to defend his National title.
“I have fought in 65 amateur bouts. I won the 2007 Ringside World Tournament, 2007 Police Athletic League Tournament, 2008 Under 19 National Tournament, 2009 Senior National Championship and the 2010 National Golden Gloves Tournament. I have stepped my game up to another level for this years USA Boxing Tournament. I train six days a week. Distance running, sprints and spurt type exercises to mimic a bout and stay strong from day one to day four. This will be the hardest tournament that I will have competed in to date, so I have no choice but to step my game up. Guys around the nation are hungry for my title. I will be ready to protect what’s mine.”
